DAR AL-MA’MÛN

Through culture and education we can come together and create real change in the world.

Dar al-Ma’mûn commonly means “house of wisdom” and is derived from the name of a 9th century caliph, or ruler, of the Abbasid dynasty who was devoted to teaching cultural diversity.

Art + Culture + Education =
A joyful new reality.

Since we at Fellah  also firmly believe in the power of cultural education, we are proud to be one of the premier sponsors of this UNESCO recognized not-for-profit organization which has its library and cultural arts center located here on site.

The Dar al-Ma’mûn Foundation supports emerging Moroccan artists and promotes cultural  awareness internationally through a wide array of visual arts and literature projects. It also provides educational programs for the nearby village including activities for children and literacy classes for women.

Dar al-Ma’mun is made possible by a series of public and private partners, grants and a portion of each guest’s check-in at Fellah. Thank you for your support of this worthwhile endeavor.

Working together through cultural awareness and social diversity.

Plans are underway to relocate the Dar al-Ma’mun center to a new, larger complex adjacent to the hotel which will allow for more exhibition space and an auditorium.

The Library

“A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life.” Our beautiful library has some ten-thousand books in French, Arabic and English and is completely free for both guests and the public.
